Glencal may prove to be the safest option in this heat although there are three handicap debutantes who may prove capable of better and another last time out winner in Kannon. The Compton Place filly is on a career high mark following her win at Chepstow but the front two pulled clear of the field to suggest that the form will stack up and that a 5lb rise may not prove to be insurmountable. Kannon has only gone up by 3lbs for her win at Folkestone where she was held up for the first time. That may prove to be the key to her in which case her chance must be respected. Bahamian Princess hadn't shown a great deal prior to winning at Wolverhampton and hasn't been set an easy task on her handicap bow but Qasayed should find this company much more to her liking and may well be able to feature. Coup De Torchon is a less obvious improver but merits a market check nonetheless although we're happy to side with Glencal.
