A low key start to the proceedings with Bluebell Ridge selected in the hope that the blinkers set her alight. Shenandoah Girl, Split The Wind and Jemiliah represent more solid options. The selection has plenty to prove but this is just her sixth start and she did show a modicum of ability at Salisbury on her penultimate start. She was very poor at Lingfield last time but the combination of blinkers for the first time and Chris Catlin taking over in the saddle give us something to hold on to. Shenandoah Girl ran well in a better race last time and this slight drop in trip should suit but she doesn't appeal at the likely prices whilst the manner in which Wicked Lady hung across the track last time when in contention is disconcerting and she has gone up in the weights for that run. Jemiliah is better than she showed at Yarmouth last month but she had alternative engagements on Tuesday and Wednesday and it remains to be seen how she fares on those outings and whether she lines up here. Split The Wind is consistent but is still awaiting her first success so we're content to take a chance in a race of this nature and will suggest Bluebell Ridge.
