Verdict

NAPOLETANO should prove tough to beat in this handicap and he gets the vote over Carmenero and Patavium Prince. The selection makes plenty of appeal as he has got plenty of form at this track and he arrives here in good heart after going close in a competitive handicap at Lingfield last time. He still looks to be on a fair mark and he rates as the one to beat. Carmenero would have a big chance on the pick of his form but he ran no sort of race in a claimer and he has big questions to answer on his return to handicap company. Patavium Prince is a course and distance winner who finished in mid-division in a Windsor handicap last time. He returns to the scene of his last win here and in a race that will not take much winning he is an obvious contender. Ivory Lace is another that has gone well here in the past but he finished behind our selection last time and there is no obvious reason why he should turn the tables today. We will therefore stick with Napoletano who looks the one to beat.
