Patrick Chamings has won the last two runnings of this with Desert Dreamer but today he relies on the abilities of Millfield, and he can prove good enough to see off recent winners Rockfield Lodge and Who's Winning. Millfield loves it here, having won over both 7f and a mile, and he also gets on particularly well with George Baker, who has been in the plate for three of the gelding's seven career wins. He acts well on very fast ground and is back on an attractive mark so today can be another good day. Rockfield Lodge was a Leicester winner at this trip last time but that was in a seller and this is tougher, and the same applies to Who's Winning, after Brendan Powell's gelding landed a 6f Folkestone claimer last time. Carmenero looks in the grip of the handicapper at present and the big danger to the selection looks like being Albaraari. Sir Michael Stoute's filly is visored for the first time here, has Ryan Moore up, and is already a winner at the trip. Glencal and Patavium Prince both want the assessor to do them a favour and we'll side with Millfield for a stable hat-trick in the race.
