In depth

Verdict

Sea Venture may be able to land this handicap with Breaking Storm and El Coto amongst potential dangers. The selection showed promise over hurdles in the first half of last season when finishing second to Lease Lend and being far from disgraced behind Sentry Duty. Things went wrong after that but he returned to form here last time and wouldn't need to improve significantly on that effort to land this heat. First Boy didn't appear straightforward when winning a seller at Uttoxeter from Kirkhammerton whilst Fuel Cell's win in a claimer is nothing to get too excited about. El Coto had no chance with the winner last time but that was a respectable effort and he has to be feared on his handicap bow whilst Breaking Storm has posted a string of consistent efforts and looks sure to be in the shake-up. He may just have to settle for a minor role though behind Sea Venture.
