The shortlist consists of Hiawatha, Milk And Sultana, Miss Glory Bee, Mister Clinton, Bundaberg and Lenwade, with the vote going to Hiawatha. Hiawatha bounced back to winning form on the all-weather last time but, fairly weighted based on his best Turf form, looks set to go well again today from a good draw. Milk And Sultana's last two wins have come at this time of year and her overall form makes her a contender, while Tasneef along with course and distance winners Miss Glory Bee and Mister Clinton all have form enough on Turf to give them chances if they are on song. Bundaberg ran a blinder at Goodwood last time over a mile and looks set to go well, while Treetops Hotel likes it here and could be worth another try at this trip. If he stays, he has form enough to go well. Binnion Bay steps up in trip, so the jury is out there, but Lenwade's course and distance win from Tojoneski, who will by now have run in the previous race, last time makes him a major player, with Belle Chanson having a length to find based on that run. It would be hard to build a strong case for the remainder which, in turn, returns us to the selection, which is Hiawatha, but it's a tricky contest.
