In an interesting contest, Regency Red, Icannshift, River Of Diamonds, Lucefer, Tojoneski and Flower Haven make the shortlist, with the vote going to Icannshift. Much as he might be better at 10 furlongs than this trip, the selection looks a leading player based on his second to Jackie Kiely here over 10 furlongs in August. Regency Red put in an improved effort to score in a Musselburgh claimer last time and, clearly in good heart, has to be considered. River Of Diamonds won a 10-furlong seller here three runs ago, and a repeat of that type of effort would give this lightly-raced runner a chance. Course winner Tojoneski stays 12 furlongs and he comes here in reasonable form, so he gets a solid shout, as does Lucefer, who was staying on when a length behind him in that same race, and they meet on the same terms today over this longer trip. Course and distance winner Forever My Lord is held on that form. Finally, much as Flower Haven did not seem straightforward when third in a Beverley seller last time, she holds claims based on that run, Neville Callaghan's Never Away is one to watch in the betting, and Love Attack is a lightly-raced potential improver. Overall, though, the vote goes to Icannshift.
