Gary Moore's Cusoon showed plenty of promise on his debut over Sandown's stiff five furlongs last month and should appreciate today's longer trip but that race did not look to be particularly strong by the track's standards and preference is for Connotation, who is preferred to Mulberry Lad. The last mentioned has shown signs of ability in all three starts so far without threatening to trouble the judge and more solid claims are held by Connotation. Paul d'Arcy's filly stepped up on her debut effort at Brighton when finding just Russian Rocket half-a-length too good for her at Lingfield recently and a reproduction of that form over today's furlong longer trip should suffice. Worth A Grand showed improved form last time but needs to step up again to take a hand here, while Makes Perfect was well beaten first time out and is hard to recommend. Majestical looks to have gone backward and is difficult to recommend in a race that is taken to go to Connotation.
