Cantarna is selected in preference to Sudden Impulse and Whoopee, while Princess Danah is also respected now that she has started to show enthusiasm for racing. Princess Danah comes here on the back of her best effort to date and, despite still showing signs of greenness when she was second at Folkestone, she will be a big threat to them all if she handles the ground. A higher draw would have been more beneficial for the daughter of Danehill; so a careful eye on the betting is recommended before getting involved with Walter Swinburn's filly. Whoopee is another that has plenty of scope for improvement and, as there is stamina for the trip from her dam's side, this daughter of Mozart should not be underestimated. This is only her second outing in a handicap and, from the foot of the weights, she represents good each way value. Sudden Impulse has been in great heart of late and, having won on similar ground at Leicester eight days ago, she has to be on the shortlist in this company. A 6lb penalty does make life difficult for her though and she needs top register a career best effort today. Therefore, we prefer to take a chance with the well treated Cantarna, who has won off a mark of 73 in the past. Therefore she looks thrown in off just 59 and, with ground conditions to suit, John Mackie's mare is expected to give us a solid run for the money today.
