It's difficult to get away from VALID POINT although there may be some mileage in an each-way interest in Join Up or What A Day. Sir Mark Prescott is renowned for the placing of his horse and it's no surprise to see Valid Point take in this race on his journey south from Ayr. He won as he liked there with his jockey remarking that he could have gone round again although he does face markedly different underfoot conditions. The majority of this field are unexposed and, in theory therefore, open to improvement so it will be worth keeping an eye on the market to see if any are supported. Join Up has run well the last twice and has a race in him but he's been ridden from the rear so he will need luck in running if he's to reach the frame. What A Day didn't run much of a race over hurdles last time but his last run on the level was a decent one which puts him in the picture. Georgie Bee wasn't far behind in fourth on that occasion and she may find some improvement for the fitting of blinkers so she has to rate highly too but recent evidence suggests that they've got it all to do to beat Valid Point.
