Verdict

Mark Johnston had five previous winners engaged at the early stage and relies on the impressive Kempton winner Boater. She started a short price for a York Listed race subsequently but didn't appear to handle the fast ground as well as the winner Vona. Richard Fahey trains the latter and he's represented here by Spin Doctor, who beat a subsequent winner at Nottingham and looks to have speed to burn. Coolfitch was well beaten and looks held but GRIZZEL appeared to be trapped on the rails on her debut at Sandown though when a gap appeared she shot through in the style of a smart filly. This is tougher but she's taken to land this before heading for Royal Ascot. Clem Fandango's easy victory at Catterick was on soft ground and the remaining trio have a bit to find.
