led, headed over 2f out, remained in touch until weakened final furlong
held up mid-division, headway over 1f out, driven to lead inside final furlong, ran on
prominent, ridden to lead over 2f out, headed inside final furlong, stayed on same pace
in touch, ridden over 2f out, had every chance approaching final furlong, kept on same pace
An interesting maiden to round up this card and as usual, some of the top southern yards take on the leading yard up north. That said, it does not look a maiden full of potential quality. Lindelaan gets the vote to land it after a respectable second at Chester although the form of that event did take a knock at Goodwood last week when Quirina was well beaten. The selection is likely to be more effective over further in time, based on breeding and analyzing her style of running at Chester but she can land this. Ed Dunlop saddles Girl Of Pangaea who has one outing in the book, that a second on the fibresand at Kempton. She made good progress from the rear to take the runner-up position there but the form is not strong, the winner being beaten in three attempts at handicap company since. Mark Johnston's Signora was very weak in the market and green in a backend Doncaster maiden last season and ran accordingly. Market support should indicate what is expected today while the experienced Romantic Destiny has had no less than 10 attempts at breaking her maiden tag. While some would immediately disregard her on that alone, there are snippets of form which would give her an each way chance. Keep a close eye on Charming Tale, a half-sister to 2004 St.Leger winner Rule Of Law as she qualifies for a handicap mark following this outing. The market should be informative but Lindelaan gets the vote.
