Sedge is a speculative choice over the likes of Dispol Isle, Angaric and Joshua's Gold. Nothing stands out too much here, and only a small vote of confidence goes to Sedge, who showed signs of a return to form when a close second to Neon Blue at York just over a fortnight ago. He does seem a bit in-and-out, but was successful twice earlier this year, and Micky Fenton knows him well by now. Joshua's Gold and Dispol Isle were both well behind the selection on the Knavesmire and have it to do, but both are capable performers on their day. Angaric is drawn low in stall in stall two, but has won over the track and trip before, and despite carrying topweight, should not be left out of calculations, while further down the handicap, Cheery Cat makes a bit of appeal. Plenty in with a shout then, but the pin comes down on Sedge.
