Nonrunner
This looks to be a very tricky start to the card and Miesko is just selected ahead of Fervent Prince and Elna Bright. Miesko has shown plenty of ability in four races to date and gets into this handicap on a decent enough mark. He has shown plenty of temperament which is a slight concern, but he money has been down every time he has run and punters can get their money back today. Fervent Prince has always been held in high regard but has taken time to find his feet. His last two runs in handicaps have been solid enough and there could be a little bit more to come, so he must be a major threat. Elna Bright is a course and distance winner and has been running against some decent types in nurseries since. This does represent a drop in grade and he should be involved in the finish. Captain Esteem is another in with a shout on his best form, but Miesko is overdue a victory and he may well get it today.
