In depth

Verdict

This race no longer carries Listed status but is still a prestigious event for fillies and has been won by some very speedy performers. Kevin Ryan usually has one ready and he's won it three times in recent years so COMPANY ASSET will know her job after a promising debut behind subsequent Listed winner Delizia at Wolverhampton. She is given the vote and holds New Road Side on a tentative line through the winner. Easton Angel attracted major support on her Musselburgh debut and her supporters never had a moment's concern but this is very much tougher. Holy Grail finished her race off very strongly at Ripon, though that was on soft ground and her stablemate Kept Under Wraps probably has more basic speed at this stage as she was always in the firing-line when scoring at Nottingham. Mick Channon always likes to bring one here and Opal Tiara scored easily from today's rival Socialites Red at Wolverhampton. Arranmore Girl has to improve a bit more after her victory here but looks capable of doing so.
