Verdict

LINE OF REASON has the highest rating of these but also has to concede weight all round. However, if he reproduces his run behind the high-class Maarek in the Beverley Bullet, he should win. Trainer Paul Midgley also runs useful handicapper Silvanus, who has place prospects. Bob Cowell is another who is double-handed but neither Duke Of Firenze nor Green Door have shown much lately. The three-year-old Mobsta makes a belated seasonal reappearance and has only run on soft ground so far but Pipers Note likes it here and has run well in a couple of tough handicaps since finishing fifth in a Listed contest at York in July.
