Bahamian Pirate can land this for sprint king Dandy Nicholls, with Corridor Creeper, Welsh Emperor and Mr Wolf interesting contenders. Having been out of luck in the Ayr Gold Cup on Saturday, Dandy will hope for better luck here with Bahamian Pirate, successful in last year's Nunthorpe. The 10-year-old has continually taken on Group company this year, and after having his sights lowered slightly in the Listed race won by Quito at Newmarket last time, he gets a great opportunity to bounce back. The drop back in trip should enable him to jump out and make all the running to record his 12th career win. Although done no favours by the draw in stall three, he has the class to overcome that obstacle. Corridor Creeper is dangerous at best but bombed out badly behind The Tatling at Newbury on Saturday and has to to give 10lb to the selection, while Welsh Emperor has to give even more weight away. Mr Wolf flopped in the Portland at Doncaster but is capable of running a big race as well. However, Bahamian Pirate is the class act in the line-up and can benefit from this drop in grade.
