tracked leader, ridden over 1f out, hampered when weakening inside final furlong
slow into stride, always in rear
made all, ridden over 1f out, kept on final furlong
outpaced and soon chased along, ridden over 1f out and stayed on final furlong
chased leaders, headway over 1f out, one pace final furlong
chased leaders, switched left over 2f out, effort when saddled slipped over 1f out, no extra final furlong
towards rear, headway over 1f out, ran on final furlong
towards rear, never dangerous
slow into stride, soon mid-division, effort over 2f out, never near to challenge
held up, effort over 2f out, never on terms
The Fisio has run better than his finishing positions would suggest of late and the Steve Gollings-trained gelding is taken to open his account for the season at the main expense of Sahara Silk and Brut. The last mentioned would arguably have more solid claims on recent form than the selection but has been done few favours with a draw in stall one that even in a field of this size is a huge negative. Oeuf A La Neige has the plum draw in stall 10 but has given little sign of encouragement in two starts this term and of more interest may be Richard Whittaker's Mynd although the son of Atraf may want a softer surface to be seen at his best. Tim Easterby's Times Review has claims on form but is another with a difficult looking draw to overcome, while Dutch Key Card is out of form at present and probably needs even more help from the handicapper. Sahara Silk has done little wrong of late and has to be considered but the vote goes to The Fisio, who has been running well without winning and should be suited by this stiff five furlongs, especially with a decent draw to help.
