In depth

Verdict

This is not the strongest of maidens and it should concern the three big southern yards with Muqadam just preferred to Milne Graden and Final Overture. Sir Michael Stoute's colt improved on his Ripon debut to finish a decent third behind Fantastic Morning at Bath. He is obviously no stable star but he should be good enough to pick up a small maiden like this. Milne Graden is a Jeremy Noseda newcomer and is quite nicely bred being by Montjeu out of a Mujtahid mare. Any big money for this one should be noted. Henry Cecil runs Final Overture who was very green on her Brighton debut and should be capable of much improvement. Mounafes is another to watch closely in the market, but on this occasion we will side with experience and plump for Muqadam.
