In depth

Verdict

It is hard to discount any of these and so a narrow vote is given to Serpentaria, we will put forward Double Deputy and Industrial Star as the most likely dangers. Sir Mark Prescott's charge improved for the step up to two miles with an excellent second to Thewhirlingdervish on heavy ground here last month. Today's conditions should suit her better and she does look the best option. Double Deputy, a recent winner over the jumps, has some solid flat form from last season and although looking a little high in the weights he should still be in the shake up. Industrial Star has been well beaten on his last two outings but had previously beaten Thewhirlingdervish, form that gives him a good chance here. However Serpentaria is expected to improve further for this faster surface and she is just given the decision.
