A wide open maiden here and as usual in these types of races the market will give a good guide as to what is expected of the newcomers but the principals look to be Brace Of Doves, Silver Phantom and Blades Boy and the nomination goes to Silver Phantom. The selection hails from a yard that usually has its 2-year-olds well forward and he is by Spectrum so will not mind the ground and he will be hard to beat. Brace Of Doves is another well-bred sort who should go well but he may be seen to better advantage over a longer trip. Blades Boy is related to Blade Dancer who was placed as a two-year-old and is from a yard that has already had a juvenile winner. Of the remainder Georgie Belle showed a modicum of ability when third on her debut behind Berkamstead but she will need to improve to win this so for the winner we return to the well-bred Silver Phantom.
