In depth

Verdict

Isobel Rose is the most exposed runner in the line up but is taken to beat Deserted Dane and Aussie Blue. Ed Dunlop's charge has yet to finish out of the frame in five contests and has taken on some decent enough types, including Hope n' Charity and Nina Blini. This looks her easiest opportunity to date and she should be good enough to finally get her head in front. Deserted Dane ran green on his debut but still managed to finish third behind Tudor Prince. Today's ground should suit him better and with improvement almost certain he should be the main threat to our selection. The pick of the newcomers could be the Richard Whitaker trained Aussie Blue, a well bred son of Bahamian Bounty who cost 47 thousand guineas as a yearling. However Isobel Rose already has the form in the book and will take all the beating.
