UGO GREGORY (NAP) was probably beaten by a handicap 'good thing' at Chester on Friday evening but was over six lengths clear of the remainder in a decent contest. He tackles an extended 7f here on the same forecast ground conditions and is ideally drawn to enable David Allan to adopt the preferred positive tactics. He should go close if recent exertions have not taken their toll. Proud Archi ran a close second to the selection over course and distance last month and again emerges as a threat along with joint topweight John Clare, improving with each run of late and expected to be in the mix once more.
