Dubai Venture is interesting dropping back to today's distance but Sir Michael Stoute's three-year-old faces no easy task against more experience rivals and preference is for Opening Ceremony, who gets the vote over Go Tech. The last mentioned is now only 1lb higher than when scoring at Redcar in June and has to be respected despite the burden of top weight but has given little sign of encouragement recently. Our Teddy has shown more consistency of late but has yet o prove conclusively that he stays this far and of more interest may be Andrew Balding's Voice Mail, who is due to go up 3lbs in future handicaps but is another that is probably better over shorter. Oldenway has claims on his best form but has to race off a career high mark, while The Violin Player has yet to reproduce his all-weather form on turf. The vote then goes to Opening Ceremony, who reverts to handicap-company on a fair mark after a respectable effort in the Rose of Lancaster last time and has his ideal conditions.
