      Verdict

      Plenty of potential improvers and so it is only tentatively that AQUARIUS STAR is preferred to Saint Thomas and City Vaults Girl. Pat Eddery's filly shaped with promise on debut here before finishing down the field in two maidens at quicker tracks. This longer trip will suit as she returns to Yorkshire and with Andrea Atzeni a plus in the saddle she should run well. City Vaults Girl was in good form when last seen and is handicapped to win races, as is Crystal Gale who has been dropped 2lbs for a recent run at Wolverhampton that should have brought her on. Power Of Dreams steps up in trip, Saint Thomas was holding his form well in claiming grade last year and has since joined a shrewd yard, whilst Jamarjo is open to improvement now handicapping off a modest mark. Along with stablemate Green For Luck, for whom Robert Winston looks an interesting jockey booking, he is passed over however in favour of the selection Aquarius Star.
