After an eye-catching debut at Haydock, Milk It Mick is expected to get off the mark here, with Dress Pearl and Harry Up the most likely to finish in the frame. Jamie Osborne's colt went down in a few notebooks after his debut at Haydock, when he started slowly but made nice late gains in finishing fifth behind the very smart Caldy Dancer. That bare form gives him a big chance here, but there is almost certainly better to come from this son of Millkom, and he has an excellent draw as well. The same cannot be said of Nick Littmoden's Wavertree Dream, who would have decent claims on his most recent second placing at Redcar, but surely has it all to do from stall one. A more likely danger could be Dress Pearl, a stablemate of Caldy Dancer who ran well last time but might just find this ground a little too lively. James Given's horses are currently firing on all cylinders and Harry Up, an encouraging third on his debut at Nottingham, seems sure to play a part in the finish. There are seven newcomers here, and it would be worth noting any market moves for Karl Burke's High Voltage, as the stable has already produced some smart juveniles. However, he has his work cut out from stall six on his debut, and may be best watched here.
