Miss Bear, Celtic Shadow and Woodford Consult are three against the field in this handicap and the vote is given to Miss Bear. The selection won really well at Southwell last time when beating Victor Buckwell. She looked like one to stay on the right side of that day and with the extra furlong unlikely to inconvenience her today she should take plenty of beating. Celtic Shadow is racing in handicap company for the first time and has to be of interest as he has shown promise on each of his three runs to date. A watching brief on the market is advised for any signs of confidence. Woodford Consult travelled well but didn't find much off the bridle over this course and distance when fifth behind Spinning Coin last time. He had been hampered on his previous run here so he is not one to write off just yet but he will need to improve. Satin Rose is from a yard in form but is another to note in the market, but for the winner we will return to the in-form Miss Bear.
