      Verdict

      MUSHARRIF stormed home over the course and distance last week and arrives with a 6lb penalty. His big weight is reduced by Phil Dennis' claim so another big run is anticipated and he gets the nod. Astrophysics finished runner-up in that race and occupied the same spot at Pontefract on Sunday so should be thereabouts again but First Bombardment was six lengths off the winner and looks held. Foxy Boy completed a hat-trick of fast ground victories before flopping when odds-on at Haydock so the assessor may have hold of him. Kody Ridge ran poorly at Pontefract last time while Tarboosh disappointed here after winning at Ripon.
