In depth

Verdict

Abide has an obvious chance and Richard Hannon's filly is taken to gain an overdue success at the main expense of Floral Print and Ask For Rain. The selection has found one too good in each of her two starts this term, latterly when finding Danehill Dazzler three-quarters of a length too good over a mile at Nottingham. The drop to the extended seven furlongs should suit the daughter of Pivotal, who is preferred to Floral Print. Mark Johnston's daughter of Rahy is a half-sister to the useful Clog Dance and could be interesting on her debut. The Barry Hills-trained Bon Bon showed only a modicum of ability on her debut and looks the stable second string behind Ask For Rain, who is entitled to come on for her belated reappearance at Goodwood last month. Ed Dunlop's Zaheyah did not show much on her all-weather debut but should do better now that she tackles turf for the first time, while Grand Course has shown ability in both starts but needs to improve to trouble the selection Abide.
