In depth

Verdict

Lord Jack Flash has an obvious chance on the evidence of the form shown in his four previous starts and he has to be respected but Bill Turner's gelding may struggle to concede 4lbs to Soto, who gets the vote with Sea Grain possibly the pick of the remainder. Apart from the selection and Lord Jack Flash, those with racing experience have little going for them and of more interest may be the quartet of newcomers. Alan Berry's Georgia Jed is sprint bred but may need more time, while Richard Whitaker's Tabaret is from a speedy family and cannot be discounted, especially if the market speaks in his favour. Roger Fisher's Muncaster Castle may want further and of more interest is Sea Grain, who takes the eye on pedigree being a Beckett half-brother to a sprint winner. The vote though goes to Mick Easterby's Soto, who has shown a decent level of form in all three starts so far and is fancied to resume winning ways today.
