Richard Fahey has his string in fine form at present and, having been placed in his last two starts in handicaps following a win at Doncaster previously, TOTAL IMPACT should be up to giving weight away to his rivals and gets the vote over Obe Gold and Fault. Stef Liddiard's colt showed improved form when dropped to this grade over course and distance earlier this month when a length behind Green Lagonda and he has to be respected. Matterofact has been running well in defeat in handicaps of late and has to be respected dropping into a claimer but the six-year-old probably has too much weight. Desperate Dan beat Matterofact in a course and distance handicap in July but has disappointed since then. He is better in at the weights today though and has to be considered, while Misaro ran better when dropped into a claimer here last time and is closely matched with Fault on running that day but a bigger threat is likely to come from Obe One. Formerly with David Nicholls, Paul Howling's gelding has struggled in handicaps for some time but this is his grade and he has claims. Preference though is for Total Impact, who is taken to give Richard Fahey another winner.
