A moderate maiden to commence proceedings and we'll take JAMES BARRYMORE to come good, while there are a number who look likely to be showing more when handicapping. To the selection first then, and Richard Hannon's colt has his fifth start here, having already contested a handicap when going well in defeat over this trip at Lingfield last time. Fast ground suits and his mark of 73 suggests that he will probably be tough to beat today. Cuthbert ran well in a handicap last time and trip and ground will suit the Bertolini colt, though on official ratings he would have a little bit to find with the selection. Spanish Duke looks capable of getting involved after a decent handicap run last time, while debutant Notte di Note looks likely to be better over longer trips at three and beyond. Then there are a host of runners who look likely to be showing their best after the handicapper has assessed them. Among those is Art Machine, whom the bookies will probably take few chances with, Mr Harmoosh, who is coming along steadily, and Scottish Boogie, who has had just the one run, but James Barrymore is our idea of the winner.
