Some top trainers send out runners in this tricky handicap and we will side with John Gosden's Neap Tide, who can overcome Solo Sole and Alaloof. This son of Zafonic contested some decent maidens in his first season when looking in need of a test of stamina. He steps up in trip here today and we could see a much improved performance. Solo Sole hails from the Luca Cumani yard and this ex Italian runner has shown enough on the all-weather to suggest he could go well off a reasonable handicap mark. Alaloof is from the in form John Dunlop stable and is fully expected to show improved form now she steps up in trip on her handicap debut. Of the others Dr Cerullo has a fitness edge over our selection and could go well, but we will take a chance that Neap Tide is ready to run and he is given a tentative vote.
