    Verdict

A very competitive line-up for this listed fillies contest, and after much deliberation we have narrowed it down to La Cucaracha, Incise and Curfew, with the first named just having the edge. This daughter of Piccolo looked a potential star when easily landing two races last spring. The first was an ordinary maiden a Leicester, but she then followed up in a Newbury conditions event, beating some very good horses. For such a decent prize, the opposition doesn't appear to be too strong and this Barry Hills trained filly looks to hold strong claims. Incise looks to be the main threat, she almost broke the juvenile course record at Warwick last season, despite being eased down in the closing stages. Curfew wasn't beaten far in a very strong class C handicap at Ascot on her final outing last season and if fit could get into the shake up. Best of the rest could be Speed Cop who finished a gallant second in a decent all-weather sprint last time, however La Cucaracha has more scope for improvement than most of these and is taken land the spoils.
