Under Fire, The Gaikwar and Magroom make our shortlist of three, all of them being course and distance winners, with The Gaikwar the pick to make the winners' enclosure for this mile handicap. Ron Harris' 9 year old was well back in the field last time out here over 10 furlongs, and hasn't tasted success for 2 years. But he's well in at the weights and could be rewarding at a price. The stable are also running Coup D'Etat in this. Magroom has strong claims and made the frame in his last 3 outings. But top weight may be too much for him. He ran a close second last week at Warwick and was staying on well over 7 furlongs, and will certainly have support. Tony Carroll's got two runners here; Golden Square doesn't hold much appeal, but Under Fire does. Kirsty Milczarek's on board the gelding who's done well on the all-weather and is showing a liking too for turf. He makes a quick return here after a decent showing last week in a slightly shorter handicap. But our selection is The Gaikwar.
