This looks wide open, with the majority making their handicap debut, but we think that CLIPPITY CLOP can follow up victory in a modest Southwell maiden, but we also respect the claims of Lyra's Daemon and Cayman Sky. Jamie Osbourne's gelding cost 35 thousand Euro and won on debut, and has been given a realistic mark. It's a step up in trip, and he should be fitter than many, having run last month while many are having their first outing for several months. Lyra's Daemon falls into that category, but broke her maiden last time out in what was just her second run. That was a fillies stakes race, but she showed big improvement there from debut, and a similar or even better run could be enough to land this. Cayman Sky was well down the field when trying this trip at Lingfield; a switch to turf may bring improvement, and he'd be top weight but for Patrick Hills claiming a handy three pounds. He looks the pick of the two Hannon runners, the other being Salybia Bay, who's shown little in five runs to date. With so many having their first run for a while any market confidence should be noted, but we'll side with Clippity Clop.
