        Verdict

        Spellmaker was in flying form on the artificial surfaces this winter and he gets the opportunity to take advantage of a lower rating on Turf but DIAMONDHEAD delivered the goods at Brighton last month and he can follow up here. Ed de Giles' five-year-old is unlikely to reach the heights he scaled when trained by Brian Meehan but he's won twice for current connections and has no issues with the prevailing going. Hamoody has been a consistent force in claiming races over the last couple of seasons but he was able to oblige in a handicap at Brighton recently and Thomas Brown is back on board today. Dreams Of Glory should ask plenty of questions if he is allowed the luxury of a soft lead, while Angelito is Ed McMahon's only runner at the meeting and any market support should not be ignored.
