A competitive but moderate contest in which what can only be a tentative vote goes to Sninfia, who gets the verdict over Tasneef and Royal Approval. The last two mentioned are closely matched on their running at Folkestone in August and there should not be a great deal between the two of them. Tony Carroll's Short Change has shown a return to form in recent weeks and is entitled to be thereabouts again but may once more find at least one too good. The David Evans-trained Top Of The Class is likely to find this tougher than the handicap he won at Chester last time racing off a 5lb higher mark, while Billy Bathwick appears to be in the grip of the handicapper at present so a chance is taken with Sninfia. Luca Cumani's filly is less exposed than most of her rivals and gave every indication at Yarmouth last time that there would be more to come over today's trip. She gets the nod.
