Pagan Storm has an obvious chance at the weights in this claimer and is difficult to oppose in a contest where the opposition is thin on the ground with Ellamyte and Kenley Lass looking the main dangers. The selection is best in on official BHB ratings and finally came good when landing a Newmarket maiden over six furlongs in August. A subsequent defeat in claiming company at the same venue later in the month tempers enthusiasm somewhat but that was over seven furlongs and the drop back in distance today should suit. Ellamyte has solid claims on her best form as a two-year-old but has failed to sparkle this term and is probably best watched. Kenley Lass is consistent but has plenty to do at the weights and a bigger threat may be Mick Channon's Patandon Girl, who looked a shade unlucky here last time. However, Pagan Storm has an obvious chance at the weights and over this trip and he gets the vote.
