On official ratings Princely Vale looks to have a bit in hand here, and we think he will be good enough to outpoint stablemate Von Wessex and I Wish in a poor contest. The selection was in fine form for today's jockey last season, notching up a hat-trick. Things haven't gone quite so well since then, but fast ground and six furlongs are ideal, and this return to selling company also looks to be in his favour, so with a 4lb drop we take him to score. Clearly, Bill Turner will have a better idea of which of his pair has the better chance, and Von Wessex also has a bit to prove here. His best form is not as good as his stablemate's, nor has he run well on either previous start here, and with 8lb to find on official ratings he may have to give best this time. Best of the rest looks to be I Wish, who gives the other pair 7lb after a hard fought Wolverhampton win last time. A 3lb rise and top weight here won't make a follow up very easy from a mark of 55, and on balance we will give Princely Vale the vote on his return to a seller.
