Darn Good has been a consistent sort and may now be ready to do himself justice, with Kawakib and Fritillary likely to play a major role as well. The latter's sire Intikhab progressed into a leading miler and on the evidence so far, this young lady already needs a step up in distance. She showed distinct promise on her Goodwood debut back in June but has been made to look one-paced in her two subsequent outings. Given a mark of 74 here, John Dunlop's filly could well be in the shake up now that she has an extra furlong to play with. Fritillary is well related and opened her account at Beverley when making all. She has topweight here for her nursery bow though and will have to be on her very best form to follow up. Darn Good is another who will come into his own over a trip next season, but there was a lot to like about his latest effort when third to Madaeh at Goodwood. Held up at the back, he kept on really well inside the final furlong to show that his turn is near. Richard Hannon's juveniles continue in decent form and this son of Bien Bien can prove too good for his principal rivals.
