A competitive field goes to post for the first on the card and the principals look to be Flipando, Bloemfontain and Distant Times and we will take a chance on Flipando. The two year old is from the bang in form David Baron yard was a good third on his debut behind Bahamian Breeze. He is sure to have learnt for the experience and under similar conditions given normal improvement he will not be far away. Bloemfontain rates the main danger he also showed plenty of potential on his debut when fourth behind Motu last time out. Distant Times finished second in that race but Bloemfontain has plenty of scope for improvement and is taken to gain his revenge on Distant Times. Of the remainder Ablaj is a well bred sort that catches the eye on breeding and is worth noting in the market but we are happy to side with the more experienced Flipando.
