Pennyspider is a speculative selection in the finale. Linda Green and Danjet, who are closely matched from their encounter at Windsor on Monday night, also make the shortlist. There may also be a bit more to come from Pretty Bonnie who like the selection gets the three-year-olds allowance. However, this is a step up in grade for the Andrew Price-trained filly and she now has a bit more to find on these terms. Danjet ran a solid race the other night and just lacked a killer punch at a crucial stage. However, she is better off at the weights with Linda Green and it would hardly be a shock were she to reverse the form. In turn, Linda Green, who will carry 12lb extra, has been set a stiff test today and she may be vulnerable back over the minimum distance. Therefore, it can pay to take a chance with a more progressive type, with Penneyspider fitting the bill on this occasion. Malcolm Saunders¿s filly is already a course and distance winner and, as she is still on the upgrade, the daughter of Redback provides us with a solid betting proposition.
