Wake Me Now is a speculative selection in this fillies' maiden. Via Mia and Phoenix Enforcer are other debutantes worthy of consideration, while Rioliina can be expected to be a bit wiser after her debut run at Newbury and she would be dangerous to rule out. Rioliina does need to post an improved effort, though. Phoenix Enforcer is related to winners over this trip and makes appeal on breeding. It is early days to be judging George Baker¿s strike-rate with first-time out juveniles, so the betting market will have to be the best guide where his filly is concerned. Via Mia, by virtue of being the most expensive purchase at the sales, has to concede 4lb to the rest and is obviously at a disadvantage even before the off. However, her trainer is more than capable of having one ready to deliver on its debut and big run can be expected. However, Wake Me Now makes a touch more appeal on breeding. She is a half-sister to a high-class juvenile sprinter in Germany; so can be expected to be precocious enough to make an impact before too long. Ralph Beckett is enjoying his best season to date and, as he had numerous options open to him with Wake Me Now, it has to be noteworthy that he has opted to go for a modest race like this for her introduction to racing.
