Verdict
SHAABEK is the tentative selection in a race that might not take much winning. A son of Byron, Mick Channon's colt should relish the longer trip this afternoon and he has shown glimpses of promise to date, most notably when second to The Long Game at Ascot. His mark of 66 looks about right. Headgear is tried on (the so-far frustrating) Cantonese Cat and Whodathought, whilst the jockey booking might suggest that Fly By White is the lesser fancied of the Hannon duo. Water Ice has the solid nursery form and should relish this trip, and along with Memorabilia rates a big danger.
