Holden Caulfield has failed to complete in each of his last two starts but is better than he has shown so cannot be ruled out on the pick of his earlier form, receiving 7lb from MARC AURELE, who looks the one to beat. The selection has shown improved form this term having won well at Wincanton prior to placed efforts at Bangor and over course and distance and he can resume winning ways with Ryan Mahon again taking the ride of the Paul Nicholls-trained gelding. Bill Turner's Navajo Nation is no better than plating class but has place claims, although a bigger threat may come from Peter Bowen's Rudanphast, who has shown a decent level of form in bumpers and now makes his debut over hurdles.
