Verdict

Interesting to see Carnspindle sport first-time cheekpieces despite having landed a competitive and good-quality Chepstow handicap last time without the headgear. That represented a major leap in form and he should be a leading player here with his 10lb conditional, who recently delivered a winner on just his second ride in public, taking him down to a very feasible mark. He is a temptation but ROSMUC RELAY gets into his first handicap on a fair rating and looks the sort to improve yet again upped in trip. He's the least experienced here but looks to have significant room for improvement. Kim Bailey is excellent in his handling of such types and a good run is anticipated. Chapel Stile also makes appeal from the bottom perch and looks on the upgrade, whilst Jaleo could get involved if coming back to his best after a rather low-key campaign to date.
