Suprendre Espere, Fleurette and Chickapeakray are three against the field in another tough handicap hurdle and the nomination is given to Suprendre Espere. The selection won with a little in hand last time out when defeating Filey Flyer and although having a penalty for that win he remains at the right end of the weights and under similar conditions here he is taken to win again. Fleurette rates the main danger on his best form but he just gave the impression the handicapper had caught up with him last time when well beaten behind Jockser and for that reason he is passed over. Chickapeakray was a fair third behind Novacella last time and is another with place claims but he is another that looks weighted up to his best. Baikalin has dropped to a handy mark and with his yard just beginning to find its form he should be noted in the market. Of the remainder The Flyer is game and consistent and is sure to run his race but in a race that throws up more questions than answers for the winner we return to Suprendre Espere.
