In depth

Verdict

Cobreces gets the confident vote to win this hunter chase with An Capall Dubh and Hip Pocket rating the main dangers. The selection has been in good form of late and would have finished closer at Cheltenham last time but for a mistake three out. This looks easier and he need only reproduce that effort to win this with a little in hand. An Capall Dubh rates the main danger on a recent fourth behind Red Brook Lad in a hunter chase, he has since won a point so is in good form but his very best form is on ground no worse than good and for that reason he is overlooked. Hip Pocket is another worthy of respect on his latest second in a point but his form under rules a couple of years ago leaves him with a little to find with the selection. Papua is game and consistent and is sure to run his race but he is very onepaced. Of the remainder Ikemba is from a yard in form and could go well at a price if his jumping holds up but that is a big if and for the winner we return to Cobreces who need only put in a fluent round of jumping to score.
