NOTICEABLE is narrowly preferred to Freeze The Flame, Free Gift and Stagecoach Amber in what looks a competitive field despite the lack of numbers. Andy Haynes has his horses in good form, and this progressive five-year-old comes here on the back of a fair effort in defeat at Newton Abbot last time out. Robert Thornton knows him well and although this mark of 125 leaves little room for manoeuvring, he should run well. Freeze The Flame has a poor record having failed to complete on his last two outings, but this course winner does have ability and he is one who certainly won't mind if the going is softened. Stagecoach Amber has been holding his form well since March and he lost little caste in defeat at Perth last time out. He has form on a variety of underfoot conditions and a bold show would surprise no-one. At the age of 11, Free Gift has little to hide, but he won nicely at Worcester last time and if the ground firms up then he should give another bold account despite this new mark of 115. Seafield Bogie and Prophete De Guye don't appear to be the most straight-forward and so it is Noticeable who can notch up another win.
